Vladimir Putin Expresses Condolences to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Over the Deaths of Servicemen

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his condolences following the tragic deaths of Kazakhstani military personnel during exercises in the Caspian Sea, reports 24KZ.

Tokayev said that, during this difficult time for the country, Kazakhstan particularly appreciates the sincere sympathy and solidarity expressed by the Russian president and the people of Russia.

Earlier, it was reported that the incident occurred on September 24 during naval drills on the Caspian Sea coast. 19 servicemen were swept into the sea after weather conditions deteriorated sharply and winds strengthened. Fourteen Kazakh servicemen have died in a tragedy in the Caspian Sea.
