The New Constitution of Kazakhstan Has Entered into Force

On 1 July 2026, the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan entered into force, formalizing the transition to a unicameral Parliament and marking an important milestone in the country's political modernization. The adoption of the Basic Law was the result of an extensive public dialogue and consistent efforts to improve the system of public administration, reports «24KZ».

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has repeatedly emphasized that reforms should respond to the real needs and expectations of society. The new Constitution is aimed at enhancing the efficiency of public administration, further strengthening the protection of citizens' rights, and advancing the principles of a Just Kazakhstan.
