Elena Rybakina Becomes 2026 US Open Champion

Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina has won the US Open, 24KZ reports. In the US Open final, the Kazakh athlete faced Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka and secured victory with a final score of 6-4, 5-7, 6-2, 24KZ reports.

The two tennis players spent 2 hours and 23 minutes on court. During that time, Elena hit 12 aces, committed five double faults, and converted three of 12 break points.

Thus, Rybakina became the US Open champion for the first time in her career.

The New York title is Elena's third Grand Slam singles title. The Kazakh player won her first Grand Slam trophy at Wimbledon in 2022.

At the beginning of 2026, Rybakina became the Australian Open champion, and has now added the US Open title to her collection.

The victory marks another historic achievement for Rybakina in the 2026 season. Following the tournament, the Kazakh tennis player will become the world's No. 1 in the WTA rankings.
