President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Meets with Elena Rybakina

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Elena Rybakina on her triumph at the U.S. Open and her status as the World No. 1 woman tennis player, emphasizing the historic significance of her achievement and her invaluable contribution to the development of sports in Kazakhstan.

“Following your victories, our children have become increasingly interested in tennis. Many of them are joining tennis clubs and aspiring to become champions themselves. You are setting a positive example for our children, and this is very good. Our children should be encouraged to take up sports, as this is crucial for their future. Your three Grand Slam victories will forever be part of the history of tennis. I believe you will not stop here and will continue your winning journey,” the Head of State said.

The President particularly highlighted Elena Rybakina’s outstanding personal qualities.

“You conduct yourself very well both on the court and in your interactions with people. I have always noted your exceptionally high level of personal culture. This is also very important in terms of presenting Kazakhstan as a developed and civilized country where sports, and tennis in particular, are strongly supported,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized.

For her part, Elena Rybakina expressed her sincere gratitude to the Head of State for his personal support and for the particular attention he pays to the development of tennis in Kazakhstan.

The World No. 1 tennis player said she was very proud to represent Kazakhstan on the international stage. She expressed her determination to continue achieving strong results and bringing joy to Kazakh fans through her victories.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Elena Rybakina the Order of Barys of III degree, for outstanding achievements in sports and her significant contribution to the development and promotion of tennis in Kazakhstan.
