At the same time, existing airports are being modernized, the international route network expanded, and navigation systems upgraded.
Kazakhstan also aims to strengthen its position in the international air cargo market. The national cargo airline Air Cargo has been established, with plans to expand its fleet to 10 aircraft. The first aircraft is expected to arrive as early as November. Cargo terminals and fuel infrastructure are also being upgraded, while a unified digital platform for the transport sector is being introduced.
According to Nurlibek Nalibayev, the goal is to strengthen the country’s transit potential and accelerate logistics.
