Russia Introduces new entry rules for foreign nationals starting July
Russia has announced new entry requirements for foreign nationals at all border crossing points, reports «24KZ». Previously, these rules did not apply in all regions.
Starting in July, travelers will be required to submit an electronic application through the RuID app at least 72 hours before crossing the border in order to obtain a QR code. Upon arrival at the border, they will also need to undergo biometric identification, including fingerprinting and photographing.
The only exceptions are diplomats, employees of international organizations, and children under the age of six.
The new requirements apply to all border crossing points despite the visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and Russia.
Gaziz Agybayev, Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Moscow:
- This must be done 72 hours before entering Russia. If our citizens face force majeure circumstances, such as the death of a close relative or a serious illness, the application may be submitted no later than four hours before entry. This is a mandatory requirement introduced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for foreign nationals.
